====== Gâthflow ======

A great many underground waterways emerge erratically in the hills between [[quilinestia|Quilinestia]] and the Alduryaknar highlands.  They are thought to have their origin to the west, in Ibav and the Gaathgykarkan steppe land. They combine in a torrent, appearing and disappering on an ever changing course through sinkholes and caves, before flowing into the [[qualinost_river|Qualinost River]] at [[quilinestia|Quilinestia]].  

The hilly weathered karst of the Gâthflow country is rich in game and has many hidden caverns, but the eroded limestone makes for a dangerous environment.  Collapses both above and below ground, along with sudden floods from the changing course of the Gâthflow are common.

It is known that the elves of [[quilinestia|Quilinestia]] harvest loose crystals and gems from this region, and there are rumors of vast crystal caverns and gold bearing streams as well.  What is certain is that intruders (if they survive the unpredictable rough terrain and native fauna) are very likely to meet elven druids or rangers who will escort them back to [[quilinestia|Quilinestia]].
