The naval fort and lighthouse on the tip of [[long_claw_point|Longclaw Point]] guards the Northern end of the entrance to the [[great_silvanesti_bay|Great Sylvanesti Bay]], and the Southern approach to the [[kagonesti_basin|Kagonesti Basin]]. Wading birds migrate through in great numbers, along with ducks, and sea lions have a large, well established rookery here.  

A strong harbor is breakwalled inside the point, with a significant  protective squadron. Traffic on the [[inland_waterway|Great Inland Waterway]] routinely rounds the point between legs.  To the North, the [[silver_river|Silver River]] brings barges of Imperial Timber down from [[argentum_capita|Argentum Capita]] through the [[kagonesti_basin|Kagonesti Basin]], and Southern lines enter [[great_silvanesti_bay|Great Sylvanesti Bay]] at [[new_silvan|New Silvan]] and [[semboch|Semboch]].
