====== The Lady Vana ======
**Contessa of Morninghold, Baroness of Vanaheim**

Lady Vana is [[eltan|Thalion Paurgiliath Arch Duke of Eltán]]'s second in command, and the primary administrator of a great many of his projects.

She is the leading member of her family of [[harnic_elves_civ|Harnic High Elves]].  Her family have been supporters of the Paurgiliath family for generations, and Eltán personally rescued her as a young lady.

She is, in her own right, the Commander in Chief of the [[vinerunners|Vinerunners]].  The [[vinerunners|Vinerunners]] are a gathering of many units of [[harnic_elves_civ|Harnic Elves]], including some members recruited from the [[rainbow_barbarians|Rainbow Barbarians.]]  In [[eltan|Eltan]]'s absence she commands the [[vinerunners|Vinerunners]], the other [[harnic_elves_civ|Harnic High Elven]] Units, the [[peacekeepers|Paurgiliath Peacekeepers]], and the [[rainbow_barbarians|Rainbow Barbarians.]], making up more than 85% of the military forces available to Duchy Eltán.  [[andriero|Andriero]], as heir apparent to the Duchy is nominally in charge of the rest, but likely to defer to her in practice.  Currently the [[vinerunners|Vinerunners]] are divided into new elite training assignments, building and training garrisons for fortresses, advancing engineering goals, and learning to fight and deploy from Spell Jammers and [[sky_castles|Sky Castles]].

Morninghold is a [[south_valley|South Valley]] village to the West of [[dolornost_arnen|Dolornost Arnĕn]], governed by [[lady_vana|The Lady Vana]], as Contessa of Morninghold as a fief of [[duchy_eltan|Duchy Eltán]].

Built at the top of the rise, Morninghold has a spectacular view East and South, watching the sun rise over the West bank forest of the Rainbow Barbarians and Southlake.
