Monks of Eru, Under Varda Elentári
The Monks of Vingilot assist the Starfarers. They wear colored singlets denoting their branch of service, longer for women, or short with black trousers for men. The red-clad security branch is always looking for new recruits. The monks form away teams, build and repair ships, operate ship mounted heavy weapons, plan manifests, sail the ships, and help keep the Starfarers functioning.
The gold singlet is reserved for ranger/monks who devote themselves to training landing forces of huge wild boars. The color has been established as the least stainable for their working environment. They are also known for elaborate ceremonial reinterpretations of plays about space travel which are currently popular in the Capital performed with uniformed pig puppets.
