Cer was a royal Elf of both the Valley and the Grey Elves of Celene, being a grandchild of both Chieftain of the valley and Queen of Enstad, there were hopes that he would represent a tie for the elves of Greyhawk. Although many outwardly did not like the mix and inclusion of the Valley Elves into Enstad politics the Queen of Enstad remained steadfast in her responsibility to elf kind saying she had a vision. When Cer was only five years old, his father was rumored killed while pursuing Orcs. Cer was afterwards moved far from Enstad and fostered in Alfheim by an elderly Elf cleric of Corinthian Lorithian. At the request of his mother, his lineage was kept secret, as she feared he would be killed like his father and grandfather if his true identity as the descendant of a mix of Grey and Valley royal blood. In Mystara he was raised with what the old cleric could afford. No longer in riches Cer took to the woods. He learned of the ways of Corinthian Lorithian and was an stereotypical elf. He had a singular talent with a bow and learned to use it with deadly accuracy. When he came of age he set forth to learn of his heritage and tried to travel the planes on his own. Thus he was imprisoned in a 'pocket plane' between the shadow dimension of Cynosure and blocking Ravenloft. He was able to rescue many people of good from the forces of the undead and carved a kingdom of his own. In doing so he raised the ire of the demi-planes undead wizard ruler whom became his bitter enemy. Cer never did know who the wizard was but referred to him as Skeletor as an ongoing insult. The war went on for many a century and Cer had made many an enemy with his exploits. He became so famous for his exploits he was even thought a candidate for demi-god of the demi-plane. It was thus he met the goddess Ki and was taken as a consort. Albeit temporary after he had laid with her, no other mortal will do and it is in him memory with her that he lives. One day a powerful wizard names Wings Xavior Falcon III tripped across the plane and took on the undead wizard where he lived… Within the magic of the plane he created. Wings was able to freeze the plane in time after the people of good were moved to Greyhawk. Cer was free but soon found that he did not wish to rule. His distant relative was enthroned and he thought it better to abdicate and live in the wilderness to protect people from evil. As part of the line of Celene, but consummate ranger, Cer was often referred to by the Lord of the Wood. He kept tabs on Wings throughout the years and knows fleetingly of the fledgling Empire he is a part of.
Cer absolutely hates undead creatures and his contacts got word to him that the master vampires hidden on Cynosure had set a blood warrant upon Arch-Duke Falcon. Cer knew he was older and imagined him in need, so he left the fringes of Celene and traveled to Brail where he signed onto a contract freighter headed to the hidden realm of Arda. He jumped the jammer in year 4 of the gate.
He currently is very quiet in the woods of New Falcónvale. He has befriended a Giant Lynx which is an actual familiar. He lives alone and always with nature… His nature goddess Ki yet still enthralls his love, yet he carries is on a secret mission to destroy any evil monsters in the area… And there have been a few which he quietly dispatches while his Duke does his duty.
He is vigilant to any undead activity set against the Arch-Duke and is setting up an underground protection within Arda against the evil he knows is coming. Wings has no idea that he is there watching and he likes it that way.
Valley Elves: are as tall as most humans (5-6’tall), but with sharp and pointed features. The hair is pale yellow in the summer, darkening to a rich gold in the winter months. They dress in blues and greens, usually in garments that are loose and flowing.
When necessary, valley elves can pass as humans. Their preferred weapons are bows and swords. Many valley elves own and wear suits of chain mail. Valley elves are excellent horsemen, though they do not ride other mounts, they rarely fight from horseback, preferring to ride up to a foe, dismount, and engage on foot. Valley elves live in or near hilly areas often on the outskirts of forest lands. They build large towers and tend to have cities built of stone and wood. There is a strange group of valley elves located in the Valley of the Mage. These elves serve a non-elf master and are thought to be less honorable than other elves of their kind. Valley elves gain the horseback riding proficiency at no additional cost. Valley Elves receive a +1 to Dexterity, Intelligence, and Charisma and -1 to their Strength scores.
Valley elves are an offshoot of gray elves, having all of the abilities of that sub-race, plus the ability to speak gnomish. They are taller than other elves. Other elves do not consider them true elves, and will not associate with them.
