The first construction on East Harbor was the double Island Fortress of Imperial Navy Ouptost #1 in the mouth of the OrrĂ³duinĂ«, or East River. Working with the natural estuaries, the center two islands were fortified and joined by a drawbridge so high that it doesn't need lifted to allow ships to sail the center channel; it is only moved to separate the forts. The forts are joined to the shore with drawbridges, which if lifted allow passage in the outer channels as well.
