Greyfeather is the Sniper / Anti-sniper attached to Lord General Iemochi Tokugawa's command staff in the Imperial Military. She has no decision making responsibility, rather she is a part of his protective detail particularly focused on distant threats.

Greyfeather is well pleased to be the anti-sniper for the Free Imperia's General in Chief. She was born to a good family, but between her tomboyish nature and average looks she never enjoyed society events. She was just coming of age during the fall of Harn, and while her upper class family made it out intact, she saw enough to realize that a lot of people died so that they could. She considered the Military for the first time, and appreciated it. When she told her Grandfather, the household head, that she wanted to sign up he took it surprisingly well. In fact he gave her a gift - his father’s bow. And then he told her that she reminded him of his father, which was much more typically awkward.

The camaraderie of military forces was much more comfortable for her. No one pretended to be nice, or to particularly care about her, but they shared their rough humor and poor food, and when danger came they had her back. And after they'd seen her shoot, they respected her as well, which she discovered she'd craved.

She worked her way up through the military, and was good at what she did. She never had the wilderness background to train for the Ranger corps, and she couldn't fight as well with a blade as even skilled new recruits. But with her family heirloom Composite Longbow of Accuracy, she could hit her target; from horseback, from the deck of a tossing ship, or dodging incoming fire.

When she got assigned to protection for the command staff they gave her two quivers of arrows that she just knows she's going to enjoy, including arrows of distance and of flying, along with a spyglass so that she can more carefully pick a target almost a mile away. She enjoys the unusual crew that’s been assigned to protection, and their cross-training with the Imperial Guard and Officio Assassinorum. If someone is sniping Lord General Tokugawa, she's going to ask them to quit.
