A fortified lighthouse and artillery battery guarding the Southern point of the Arg-Simorig gap into Grand Monaco Bay. A small harbor is built into the lee of the point, enhanced by a breakwall. The Southern point is home to a Monestary of Eru, primarily devoted to the studies of astronomy offered by the great open Eastern Ocean. The monks also make Starry Night Absinthe. A number of young adults from the capitol come here to study; primarily though not exclusively of Elven descent, and much of the forest is rigged with platforms and elevated pathways. A scattering of natives, a small dark haired folk of an appearance between proto-polynesian and proto-pictish, have friendly relations with the monastery and students, and serve as regular guest lecturers. In addition to exceptional knowledge of local fauna, flora and geography, their people have a strong oral tradition in the astronomy of ArdaSpace. Their children are well trained in navigation of their dugouts and catamarans by stars alone, and their 'star-mother' priestess caste have cultivated an exceptional ability to do calculations and memorization, particularly of astronomical objects and periods. They are few in number, though small bands of their kin are scattered along the Eastern seabord of Arda. They had historically been picked on by land dwelling neighbors when they come to shore, and are very friendly to the Free Imperia, particularly fascinated by the ships and Spelljammers they build.
