Red Sonja of Hyrkania's power lies solely in the promise you made years ago. She was to let no man love her unless he bested her in battle. If she keep to that promise and her strength was to hold. Forget that promise, and she would be like any other powerless wench, caught by the grip of helplessness and servitude. Ever since she was bested by Aragorn in a fight with his Count, Bif Riprock, she has been thankful that he was not a man, but of elf kind. She saw that he was a kind hearted warrior and also married and loyal to his wife. She saw that the travelers were powerful and had unknown magic… She had much to lose if she did not follow them.
Aragorn offered to take her with them with a request to protect the women of this new world from evil… more evil than she could imagine. The new world of Arda awaits her and she wanders the land with a letter-of marquee from Count Riprock and his office of Imperial Marshal to protect and serve the Free Imperium.
