Saldrin is an acquaintance of Geoff, who has told him that Good giants can find honor and welcome in the Free Imperia. Saldrin is in the Free Imperia on probation while considering converting to Good, or 'promising to play nice', to have a home and place in the developing Imperial Giant Slayer unit. Geoff has pointed out that there are lots of Evil giants to kill, that Saldrin would not have to play nice with, which is Saldrin's favorite thing.
