Barron Field Marshal Goenhog was a Giff artillery expert in the Giff Great War and later military and industrial advisor to the Giff Kaiser. He became expert in artillery tactics and during the Great War had a hand in destroying the Elfin fort in Grey Space in the onset of the conflict. He became a chief of the Section I of the General staff. He mobilized Giff industry to produce ammunition and wrote a booklet about Spelljamming defensive tactics. After the war, Goenhog participated in a push for Giff militarization and isolation against the Elvin Imperials. When that failed, he was exiled and later worked as a military consultant to Brail, the Gif Academy even though he was a persona non grata to the Giff government and the Elf Confederate Navy.

Aragorn, the Emperor of the Arda Free Empire contacted then-colonel Bauer to advise in military and business opportunities in Nexus Prime. Next year Goenhog visited Arch-Duke Admiral Wings Falcon III, who hired him as a military advisor, wishing to use his contacts to acquire more weapons and industrial assistance from Giff space. With Giff military advisors and instructors, he arrived with 20 German officers and 80 skilled artillery-Giff to work as instructors in Free Imperial military training. he was given an instant promotion to Field Marshal and had his title restored to Baron through a Free Imperial land grant. He is a boisterous type, loves to eat and drink with a good nature, however he is very efficient and has little tolerance for failures in battle. He holds himself and Giff kind to a exacting standard. He currently lives in Nexus Prime.
