Built on the mouth of the Dûshera Bight to support the smaller IN#33, Lancelot Du Lac was once heard to compare IN#35 to 'Borneo in the Earlies'. Whatever he meant, it is a vibrant if troubled region.
Trade is rich, naval traffic is abundant, but seemingly endless small tribes of pirates and headhunters live in the deep jungle between the Bay of Ûsakan and the Dûshera Bight (at the mouth of the Koros River), and limiting their maritime depredations is all that a Naval force can achieve.
It will be Elven generations before the Rainbow Barbarians grow enough to push them out, and while they are no particular threat to the fort, they continue their audacious raids on lone unwary shipping. Q-ships are helpful, but the problem is less in deterring an organized power than in diverse bloodthirsty small groups which may turn hostile, or not, on any given week. Many of the more peaceful tribes have gathered near the fort, or near the Barbarians in the North, but it will be some time before the deep jungle is truly pacified.
