The Mist-Rib lakes stretch Northwards from Great Stronghold Lake
Often shrouded in mist, and resembling the fallen upper half of a watery skeleton, the Mist-Rib Lakes stretch hundreds of miles North from Great Stronghold Lake.
The fortifications of Duke Rocha's city of Castille control the isthmus between the Fourth and Fifth Ribs, and this lake country is the heartland of Duchy Stronghold. DR#2 castellates a high stubby promontory in the Second Rib.
Both branches of the Eastern end of the Great Inland Waterway Initiative pass through the Mist-Ribs, making for rich trade, and an unbelievable wealth of game and fish thrive here. Pike, walleye, and giant muskie rule the water, and two species of bear, three species of wild cat, packs of reddish wolves, and sounders of huge boar hunt the land.
