The Eastern end of the lock tanker route from Ûsakan to Hyarn, PK#6 has a steady stream of traffc over the Listening Mountains, through what the ancient maps refer to as the Cleft of Goats.

The Westernmost lock tanker of the Great Inland Waterway Initiative, it maintains an unusually strong garrison, much of which forms screening patrols to the South of Sîrnan. Little moves through these wild lands without their notice.

Wild goats with great curling horns are still common here, though undomesticated, as are the tawny sabre-toothed cats which feed on them, and its modern name is Lion Pass.

The native humans are generally tall, with noble bearing and olive complexion. They had old stories of elves as their allies, and while they are generally unwelcoming toward outsiders, they are delighted to work with Eltán's folk in keeping bandits, goblinoids, and monsters from establishing footholds in the area. Composed of multiple tribes of nomadic herders and small irrigated villages, they trade mutton, wool, horses, two-humped camels, medicinal herbs, and occasional opals with the Peacekeepers.
