Daughter of Thalion Paurgiliath Arch Duke of Eltán
She is a teacher in the Paurgiliath Peacekeepers orphanage in Nexus Prime.

She also works on demand as a remote viewer for the Signal Company, using Clairvoyance to inspect signal interrupts and assess threats.
She gave the second part of the Arm of Valor to Major Thandwë Paurgiliath, and they are planning how to begin an expedition to seek the other parts.

Character History
Daughter of Thalion Paurgiliath and a Harnic human merchant lady.
Laurin's mother died on a trading mission, when she was little more than a child. Before the ship returned to port, she was attacked by a sailor, and to both of their surprise, killed him. The encounter left her wounded and panicked. Sure there would be trouble, she swam ashore without telling anyone, and was presumed lost.
The wounds healed badly, leaving her with a scarred face. She lived in a slum in a human port city of Harn, but her emerging magical ability and natural intelligence led her into assuming the role of protector and local child-hero for the other street children. Eventually she joined the circus for a year, still a starveling waif, and apprenticed to a strong woman in the sideshow. Unfortunately Laurin never grew much larger, or physically strong, though her magic was an asset to the circus. Her health never entirely recovered from her time on the streets.
The strongwoman who had adopted Laurin died getting her to the evacuation of Harn, leaving Laurin with her prize posession, the vambrace of the Arm of Valor, and a dying wish that she should rejoin her family. She survived, and escaped to Arda.
She did rejoin her family, working with the Home Legion of the Peacekeepers teaching children, and studying with the Order Magica. One day in peacekeepers HQ she happened to walk past Major Thandwe Paurgiliath, her half brother, the full elven commander of the Ducal Guard. To their surprise he had the matching Coutier of the Arm of Valor, and both pieces announced their proximity with a bright blue radiance.
They talked, and discovered a mutual respect and liking. Her divinatory specialty has come in handy more than once. He made a point of introducing her into the inner circles of the Peacekeepers and the Free Imperia, and helping with her career, looking out for her. He found her a Pearl of Power that allows her to cast Clairivoyance (or any memorized third level spell) two extra times a day, and she began work as one of a group of mages helping the Signal Company, scrying for the source of Signal Interruptions, so that response level was appropriate: the Empire doesn't go into full deployment if a shutter gets stuck, but does dispatch reinforcements in case of attack.
She had little use for the vambrace, particularly as it might kill her outright if it teleported away, and prefered the braceers of defense she had saved up for, as she isn't strong enough for even elven armor. One year gave the vambrace to Thandwe for his birthday. They have plans to put together a quest for the rest of the peices of the Arm, though this may take years.
Pearl of Power (3rd and 3rd) This seemingly normal pearl of average size and coloration is a potent aid to a wizard. Once a day, a pearl of power enables the possessor to recall any one spell as desired, even if the spell has already been cast. Of course, the wizard must have the spell to be remembered among those he most recently memorized. The power of the pearl is determined by rolling percentile dice and consulting the table below:
